Former State Secretary for Tourism, Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment at the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment Răzvan Pîrjol is among the 60 personalities who influenced the development of the Glion Institute of Higher Education (GIHE) in Switzerland.
On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the Swiss University of Applied Sciences Glion Institute of Higher Education (GIHE) has also released its first anniversary album featuring no less than 60 personalities who have influenced the development of the institution.
In addition to the university founders Professor Walter HUNZIGER and hotelier Frederique TISSOT, the anniversary album also mentions Răzvan Pîrjol, former Secretary of State for Tourism, Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment in the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment, currently Chief Business Development Officer in the Swiss Winsedswiss Education Group.
"A true Alma Mater, Glion has had a defining impact on my personal and professional development. The 15 years I spent on its various campuses were one of the most remarkable and happy periods of my life. We continue to collaborate in various forms today. But I must admit that I was filled with emotion, gratitude and pride when I received the invitation to take part in the anniversary ceremonies, especially as I found myself on the list of the 60 personalities of the anniversary album. Years later, this recognition continues to give me a sense of accomplishment", Răzvan Pîrjol told Forbes Romania.
According to the QS World Universtity Rankings, Glion Institute of Higher Education (GIHE), the University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland is among the top three higher education institutions in the tourism and hospitality industry worldwide.
After graduating from Glion Institute of Higher Education (GIHE) in 1994, Răzvan Pîrjol held various positions within the organization, including a top management position. In 2005, Răzvan chose the path of entrepreneurship in the hospitality industry, and three years later, in 2008, he decided to return to Romania as General Manager of THR Consulting Group. Răzvan Pîrjol has also held the positions of President of Skal International Bucharest and President of Bucharest Tourism Board.
From December 2019 to March 2021, Răzvan Pîrjol was Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment, responsible for tourism, foreign trade and foreign investment.
Răzvan Pîrjol is currently Chief Business Development Officer at the Swiss Winsedswiss Education Group, present in Romania, Serbia and Cyprus.
The Swiss educational group winsedswiss (World Institute of Service Education) has as its main activity the creation and implementation of educational programmes for people of all age groups. The programmes cover the service sector, from hospitality and retail to health, sports and luxury management.
