Diana Frome, 24, student ohma Bucharest Culinary Arts
I studied management and psychology and I am currently completing my Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. The passion for cooking has always been with me, it has been a play, a pleasure, a curiosity and a challenge. Although I never thought my path would be towards a career as a chef, I am falling more and more in love with everything Culinary Arts every day. Playing with ingredients, understanding them, exploring and delighting people through what you do is absolutely magical. The Culinary courses at ohma allow me to experience cooking on another level, alongside talented, professional and dedicated mentors.
And, since we are on the eve of the winter holidays, I propose as a dessert recipe
"Vegan Raphael bomboanele!"
Ingredient
* 5 tablespoons melted coconut oil
* 100g coconut flakes for cream
* 4 tablespoons coconut flakes for decoration
* 15 raw almonds (ideally peeled ones can be used)
* 3-4 tablespoons sweetener syrup, honey or agave
* 1 tsp vanilla essence
* Optional: 1-2 teaspoons of lemon
How to prepare
1. Mix the coconut oil with the flakes, sweetener and vanilla in a bowl. (Lemon optional)
2. Leave the mixture in the refrigerator to harden for at least 45-60 min
3. Place the 4 tablespoons of coconut flakes in a separate dish.
4. We make the balls ~ 1 tablespoon of cream to 1 Raffaello candy. We also add an almond in the centre of each candy and roll them in coconut flakes
5. We put them back in the fridge for a few minutes before eating them with a twist
Enjoy!
